Monday, January 28

  • Parent-Tot Class – Mondays, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitator: Lindsey Embree. Various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit occasionally to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions. Feel free to bring your friends; it’s open to everyone! (PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.) For more information, contact Nancy Auslander.
  • Open Mah Jongg Play – Mondays, 10:00am-12:00pm

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Shabbat. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, January 30

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.​

Friday, February 1

  • Junior & Senior USY Shabbat Service & Dinner, 5:45pm
    The USYers will lead Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat Service, followed by their own Shabbat dinner in the Linda Roy Youth Center. For more information, contact Rabbi Barkan.
  • Tot Shabbat Service & Dinner, service 5:45pm, dinner 6:15pm
    Join us for a special Kabbalat Shabbat Service for young families to welcome the Sabbath with stories and songs hosted by CAI’s 3-year-olds’ class, Maccabim; followed by a kid-friendly Shabbat dinner. $25 per family (2 adults & up to 4 children). Additional adults $10 per person. RSVP needed for dinner only by Jan. 28 to Kim.

Saturday, February 2

  • "Read It & Meet" Book Discussion, approx. 12:00pm
    Join us as we discuss The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker, with moderator Rabbi Robert Eisen. Book discussions are held once a month and are open to everyone. We discuss selected books by Jewish authors or with Jewish content, and share our experiences, reactions, and ideas. Moderators facilitate each discussion. For more information, contact Helen.
  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 4:00pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah Portion: Mishpatim

Sunday, February 3

  • Men's Club World Wide Wrap,” 9:00am in Rabbi Breger Hall
    For this annual event, we will join the Religious School for Minyan and model for them how to wrap tefillin. Then 4th, 5th and 6th Graders and their parents are invited to share our delicious breakfast buffet at no charge and the students will present what they learned about tefillin. No charge for Men’s Club members or Religious School guests; all others $4 per person. Please RSVP to Cary.
  • Parent Havurah, 9:00am
