    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all.   • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Parenting in Peace Course – Wednesdays, January 18, 25, Feb. 1 & 8, 6:30-8:30pm
    This 4-week parenting course combines the Parenting with Love and Logic Program with other well-known methods of empowering parents to create strategies that truly work for each individual. Bring out the best in you and your kids. Learn how to take care of yourself while simultaneously providing opportunities for your children – toddlers through teens – to learn how to become respectful, responsible, resourceful and resilient. Instructor Naomi Weinberg, MSW, has worked in the mental health field for 30 years as a family counselor, school and medical social worker, professional development educator and presenter. $88 per person for 4-week course.     We are taught to read the Torah Portion of the week, each week, twice: In/From the Torah text (Shnayim Mikra), and again in translation (Targum Shlishi) to ensure that we understand both the form and the function of Torah – what it teaches, and how it can be applied.
