Monday, January 23

  • Parent-Tot Class – Mondays, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitated by Gabby Erbst, various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions. Feel free to bring your friends; it’s open to everyone! (PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.) For more information, call Lynne Falkow-Strauss.

  • Open Mah Jongg Play – Mondays, 1:00 – 3:00pm

  • B'nai Mitzvah Class, 4:00pm

  • Adult Choir Rehearsal, 6:00pm
    This choir is open to all adults who have an interest in Jewish music and enjoy singing. The repertoire will include a full spectrum of Jewish music, both liturgical and secular. For more information, contact Cantorial Soloist Nichole Chorny.

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. Wednesday, January 25

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • Parenting in Peace Course – continuing Wednesdays, January 25, Feb. 1 & 8, 6:30-8:30pm
    This 4-week parenting course combines the Parenting with Love and Logic Program with other well-known methods of empowering parents to create strategies that truly work for each individual. Bring out the best in you and your kids. Learn how to take care of yourself while simultaneously providing opportunities for your children – toddlers through teens – to learn how to become respectful, responsible, resourceful and resilient. Instructor Naomi Weinberg, MSW, has worked in the mental health field for 30 years as a family counselor, school and medical social worker, professional development educator and presenter. $88 per person for 4-week course.   • Neshamah Minyan: A Service of and for the Soul, 9:30-10:30am
    Join us as Jordan Hill, storyteller and founder/director of The Mindfulness Education Exchange, explains how to raise your prayer experience ever higher. Deepen your relationship with the Shabbat morning service while developing practices and understandings that you can take back into your day-to-day life.

    Please join us as we welcome our guest speaker, Phil Pepper, President of CAI’s Board of Trustees, who will give an overview of the general goals and objectives that were set by the Officers and the Board at the beginning of his term (May 2015) and where CAI is today as he winds down his term in May 2017.
