  • A “Mitzvah Moment”
Once again, our congregation has volunteered to help Pantano Christian Church, 1755 S. Houghton Rd (between 22nd St. and Golf Links) with its childcare on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24. Along with family services, they provide “alternative programming” for children too young to participate in the services themselves … think of what we do over the course of the High Holy Days. The specific need is for our volunteers to help their “lead teachers” who will be in each room, along with a few of their folks. Pantano Church will plan out all the singing, craft time, games and lessons; your role is just to engage with, and love on, the children in your class. The need includes people to cover programming for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and older preschoolers. Our presence will allow that many more of their families to worship together at this, one of their, most sacred seasons. There are five shifts to fill: 10:45am—12:15pm; 12:40-2:15pm; 2:40-4:15pm; 4:40-6:15pm; and 6:40-8:15pm. If you can help, please contact Tamara or call 745-5550.
