“The Trial of Abraham” – Wednesdays, Feb. 6 & 13, 7:00pm
Through his desire to obey God at all costs, even if it meant sacrificing his son, Abraham became the definitive model of faith for the major world religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Today, the protection of children and family is paramount, with abuse and exploitation widespread. What unites and divides the peoples of the sibling religions derived from Abraham? What is more important? Blindly following one’s faith or the protection of children?
Join us for a mock grand jury and trial of Abraham, accused of abuse, assault and kidnapping. Attendees will act as jury. Educational and fun, this event will be a wonderful discussion of the Talmud.
