Monday, November 6

  • Parent-Tot Class, continuing Mondays, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitated by Amanda Stark, various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit occasionally to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions.   • Women's Study Group, 12:00pm
    Rabbi Robert Eisen leads these monthly group sessions using The Five Books of Miriam: A Woman’s Commentary on the Torah as the core for discussion. Topics can be interesting, insightful & inspiring. No charge to attend. Bring your own dairy lunch; beverages & dessert provided.

  • Open Mah Jongg Play – Mondays, thru Dec. 4, 1:00-3:00pm, (usually 10:00am – 12:00pm)

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, November 8

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably. Members of Women’s League: $6 per class; non-members $8 per class. For more information, contact Evelyn.

  • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • Women’s League Paid-up Membership Lunch, 11:45am check-in; 12:15pm lunch
    All current members of Women’s League, those considering membership, and friends and family are invited to thank our many wonderful Gift Shop volunteers and the women of CAI’s administrative staff. Free for paid-up Women’s League members, all Gift Shop volunteers, and female CAI staff. Guests, including spouses, are welcome for $10 per person. If you are not currently a member of Women’s League and wish to become one, you may do so at this event. As a member of Women’s League, meet incredible women, feel good helping others, and have great learning experiences. (Annual membership dues $36.)   • Shabbat’s Cool, 9:00am
    All families are invited to join us for this child-friendly Shabbat program, including a parallel session for parents 9:30-10:15am. Youth will learn the Torah service, play outside & enjoy Shabbat lunch. Today, we will give thanks for family & friends on this “Thanksgiving” Shabbat. For more information, contact Rabbi Barkan.

  • K’Ton Time, 10:30am
    This fun & lively 20-minute service led by Gabby Erbst & Marcy Friedman includes songs, prayers, stories & games; playground time for kids & schmoozing time for parents; kid-friendly kiddush. Geared to families with kids ages 1 to 6, but every family is welcome!

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study w/Scholar-in-Residence, 3:30pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah portion: Hayyei sarah

Sunday, November 12

  • Men’s Club Veterans’ Lunch, 12:00pm
    Men's Club is hosting a special lunch to honor Jewish veterans & active military. Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, chips & dessert. Veterans & active military are welcome at no charge; $10 per person for spouses & guests. Reservations required with/without payment by Nov. 8 to Mark.
