Monday, March 6

  • Parent-Tot Class – Mondays, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitated by Gabby Erbst, various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions. Feel free to bring your friends; it’s open to everyone! (PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.) For more information, call Lynne Falkow-Strauss.

  • Open Mah Jongg Play – Mondays, 10:00am – 12:00pm

  • Women's Study Group, 12:00pm
    Rabbi Robert Eisen leads these monthly group sessions using The Five Books of Miriam: A Woman’s Commentary on the Torah as the core for discussion. Topics can be interesting, insightful & inspiring. No charge to attend. Bring your own dairy lunch; beverages & dessert provided.

  • B'nai Mitzvah Class, 4:00pm

  • Synagogue Life Council Meeting, 7:00pm
    We have a number of updates to share regarding various programming initiatives including Adult Education, Religious School and Ritual. Please bring any additional ideas you may have to share as we calendar 2018! We will also take a few minutes to discuss the concept of an elevator speech and begin by exploring each of our individual "whys."

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, March 8

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • Adult Education Kollel (Class): “Not Your Children’s Purim,” 7:00-8:30pm
    Rabbi Robert Eisen and Cantorial Soloist Nichole Chorny will delve into what Purim is really about and why it is so important to reclaim its form and function as adults. It’s not all hamentaschen and groggers!
    7:00-7:30pm – “The Sounds of Purim: A Deeper Look into the Chanting of Megillat Esther” with Nichole Chorny
    7:30-8:30pmThe Laws of Purim and How to Make Them Your Ownwith Rabbi Robert Eisen

  • K’Ton Time, 10:30-11:00am
    This fun & lively 20-minute service led by Gabby Erbst includes songs, prayers, stories & games; playground time for kids & schmoozing time for parents; kid-friendly kiddush. Geared to families with kids ages 1 to 6, but every family is welcome!

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 4:30pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah portion: Tetsaveh

  • Traditional Megillah Reading, 7:07pm in the Epstein Chapel with Ma’ariv
