Monday, April 11

Tuesday, April 12

  • Parent-Tot Class, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children 9- to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is fun and educational. Facilitated by Stacey Singer, participants sing songs, make art projects, read stories, have a snack, and share parenting advice with each other. PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.   • Junior USY, 6:00pm. For Jewish children grades 7 & 8.

    Learn about the law and lore in the "sea" of Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism.

Wednesday, April 13

  • "Gentle Chair Yoga" – Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Weekday Torah Study Group, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Friday, April 15

  • Family Shabbat Under the Stars Service & Dinner, service 5:45pm on the Rabbi Oleisky Courtyard patio; dinner 7:00pm in the Cantor Falkow Lounge
    The opportunity to worship outside enables us to better encounter nature, and to remind ourselves that any space can become sacred through the manner in which we use it. Come and help us expand our “worship zone” as we welcome Shabbat. After the service, we’ll share Shabbat dinner, followed by Open Lounge in the Youth Center with games and fun. Dinner $25 per family (two adults & up to 4 children) and/or adults (13+) $10 per person. RSVP needed by Apr. 11.  

Saturday, April 16 Shabbat Hagadol

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 4:45pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in "living Judaism." Lay-led. Torah Portion: Metzora
  • 7th & 8th Grade Gesher (bridging) Ceremony, 5:45pm
    Students will reflect upon and celebrate their experience in our synagogue community as they prepare to take the next step in their Jewish learning and lives. This ceremony will serve as a bridge for them as they cross this formative life-passage.  We encourage everyone, especially families, to be present to support them.

Sunday, April 17

  • Passover Family Workshop & Chocolate Seder, 9:00am-12:00pm (as part of Reigious School)
    The community is invited to learn about the messages of Passover. We’ll create a GIANT seder plate with interactive stations at each symbol … Then we’ll learn about the seder experientally through a chocolate seder! No charge to attend, but RSVP needed by Apr. 14 to Rabbi Ruven Barkan.

  • USY “Step-up” Day, 12:00pm
    All kids 3rd – 12th Grades are invited to learn about CAI’s exciting youth programs. Step up and experience the next level. Whether USY is new to you or you’re in Kadima moving to Junior USY, or Junior USY moving to Senior USY, this is going to be fun! Be welcomed into each group via age-based experiential activities and stations led by Senior USY advisors: Human “hamster ball” & “Capture the Flag;” a “Chopped”-style dessert competition & games. Pizza lunch included! No charge to attend, but RSVP needed by Apr. 14 to Rabbi Ruven Barkan.
