Yom Yerushalayim Program
Wednesday, May 24, 7:00pm
CAI”s annual observance to celebrate the anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. On June 7, 1967, IDF paratroopers advanced through the Old City toward the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, bringing Jerusalem’s holiest site under Jewish control for the first time in 2000 years. That we are now, as a people, centered in Jerusalem, is undeniable. However, how is (can be) Jerusalem centered in us? “A Dream That Has Come True: 50 Years As One” will explore how she reaches out to the four corners of the world. We will share in a “round-robin” of activities, including:
- Jerusalem Then and Now
- Our Prayers Of, For and From Jerusalem
- The Melody of Her Presence
- The History of Her “Form and Function”
Followed by a brief commemoration of her meaning in our lives. No charge to attend, but RSVP requested by May 22.
