Monday, June 12

  • Summer Camp for Kids continues thru July 21 (no camp July 4)
    All children 2- to 6-years-old are welcome! NEW THIS YEAR: Theme Weeks – Sports, Art & Music, Outdoors, America the Great, Science and Around the World. Enjoy water play, stories, music, creative movement, playground time and more. Secure facility with modern, park-like shaded playground. Snacks provided. M-F; Full days 9:00am – 3:00pm; Half days 9:00am – 12:30pm. Before/After Care 8:00-9:00am and/or 3:00-4:00pm daily for $8 per child, per hour. Non-refundable registration fee $100.   • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, June 14

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.   • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • AUDITIONS for CAI's January 2018 production of "Grandma Sylvia's Funeral" – Wednesday, June 14, 6:00 – 8:30pm in Cantor Falkow Lounge
    Open to anyone 16+ who has an interest in theater or ever thought of acting is encouraged to try out. "Grandma Sylvia's Funeral" is a comedy where the audience is both observer and participant in this highly improvisational and funny story of a Jewish funeral gone wrong. CAI's production will be a fundraiser, so get involved! You can help support the synagogue and maybe "be discovered." It'll be fun, it'll be funny, it'll put the "fun" back in funeral!     Join us for this more intimate Shabbat Service held in the Rabbi Breger Hall instead of the sanctuary to enable us to set a different mood and to find our worship strengthened by our togetherness.

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 5:30pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah portion: Shelah lekha
