B’nai Mitzvah Program

The program includes both classroom and individual instruction for each student by the clergy and B’nai Mitzvah tutors. Six times a year the students and their families meet for a meal and to learn together. A prerequisite for Bar/Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Anshei Israel is a minimum of four years in an approved Judaic studies program including enrollment during the year of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony.

The B’nai Mitzvah Havurah (fellowship) consists of current B’nai Mitzvah students and their families. B’nai Mitzvah Havurah events are held throughout the year and include a meal, socializing, and different interactive programs related to the B’nai Mitzvah process.

The CAI B’nai Mitzvah Curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience.  By participating in all aspects of the curriculum, your child will receive an education based on lifelong knowledge and skills for continued participation in Jewish life.
