A People with Dreams

The great quality of the Jews is that they have been able to dream through all the long and dreary centuries; and mankind has credited them with another quality, the power to realize their dreams.

Introducing
CAI's
"Lion of Jerusalem"

As part of
an exciting national
"Lions of Jerusalem Community Art Project,"
our congregation wishes to salute the dedication of the
Lion of Judah Division of Women's Philanthropy
of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona
for bringing this project to light.

Unveiled on June 1, 2008 at CAI's Yom Yerushalayim Festival,
the lion can currently be viewed in the foyer outside the sanctuary. Painted by Michael Schwartz, a local artist and member of the
Jewish Arts Alliance, the lion's design was inspired by the tradition
of Jewish paper cut-outs. Its vibrant colors change
depending on the light and angle of viewing.

Soon the lion will be permanently mounted outside the
synagogue's doors to welcome all who enter
Congregation Anshei Israel.

Here's a unique way to make your simcha last
season after season, year after year ...
THE

The Brick Garden, “planted” in front of the education/
administrative building, raises funds to benefit CAI’s youth programs. Each brick is a reminder of the happy events that have touched
your life and that of your family.
Commemorate births, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, achievements,
and other milestones by personalizing a brick.
The Brick Garden will keep the joy and memories of your simcha
in the hearts and minds of all who shared in the celebration.
Watch our garden grow! Installation has begun and we
expect more bricks soon. (Upon each order of 10 bricks,
they will be added to the garden.)
