Monday, January 29

  • Parent-Tot Class, 9:00 – 11:00am
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitated by Amanda Stark, various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit occasionally to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions. Feel free to bring your friends; it’s open to everyone! (PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.) For more information, contact Lynne Falkow-Strauss.

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, January 31 Tu B'Shevat

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably. Members of Women’s League: $6 per class; non-members $8 per class. For more information, contact Evelyn.

  • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • Senior USY, 6:00pm. For Jewish children grades 9 thru 12.

Friday, February 2

  • Tot Shabbat, service 5:45pm; dinner 6:15pm
    This month’s special Kabbalat Shabbat Service for young families to welcome the Sabbath with stories and songs is hosted by our 3-year-olds’ class Maccabim, & will be followed by a kid-friendly Shabbat dinner. $25 per family (2 adults & up to 4 children). Additional adults $10 per person. RSVP by Jan. 29 to Kim.

Saturday, February 3

  • "Read It & Meet" Book Discussion, approx. 12:00pm
    Book selection: Moonglow by Michael Chabon, with moderator Shirley Goldberg. Book discussions are held once a month and are open to everyone. We discuss selected books by Jewish authors or with Jewish content, and share our experiences, reactions, and ideas. Moderators facilitate each discussion.

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 4:00pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah portion: Yitro

  • Junior & Senior USYers, 7:15pm at Get Air Trampoline Park (330 S. Toole Ave., #300)
    Let's jump for joy! Drop-off 7:15pm; pick-up 9:45pm. Cost $21. RSVP needed by Jan. 31 to Rabbi Barkan . (Online waiver must be completed before event.)
