Monday, April 3

  • Parent-Tot Class – Mondays, 9:00 – 11:00am (not held Apr. 10 & 17)
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children up to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is a great way to meet other parents, exchange experiences, and provide an opportunity for the children to play together and engage in age-appropriate activities. We also read a book from PJ Library twice a month. Facilitated by Gabby Erbst, various experts from different fields of child development and child-care will visit to share their expertise and provide opportunities for discussions. Feel free to bring your friends; it’s open to everyone! (PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.) For more information, call Lynne Falkow-Strauss.

  • Open Mah Jongg Play – Mondays, 10:00am – 12:00pm (not held Apr. 10 & 17)

  • Women's Study Group, 12:00pm
    Rabbi Robert Eisen leads these monthly group sessions using The Five Books of Miriam: A Woman’s Commentary on the Torah as the core for discussion. Topics can be interesting, insightful & inspiring. No charge to attend. Bring your own dairy lunch; beverages & dessert provided.

  • B'nai Mitzvah Class, 4:00pm

  • Adult Choir Rehearsal, 6:00pm
    This choir is open to all adults who have an interest in Jewish music and enjoy singing. The repertoire will include a full spectrum of Jewish music, both liturgical and secular. For more information, contact Cantorial Soloist Nichole Chorny.

  • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm (not held Apr. 11 & 18)
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Wednesday, April 5

  • “Gentle Chair Yoga” – Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30am (not held Apr. 12)
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably. Members of Women’s League: $6 per class; non-members $8 per class. For more information, contact Evelyn.

  • Weekday Torah Study Group – Wednesdays, 11:00am (not held Apr. 12)
    Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. (Occasionally lay-led.) Open to all. No charge to attend.

  • Senior USY, 6:00pm (not held Apr. 12). For Jewish children grades 9 thru 12

Friday, April 7

  • Tot Shabbat, service 5:45pm; dinner 6:15pm
    Special Kabbalat Shabbat Service for young families to welcome the Sabbath with stories and songs, followed by kid-friendly Shabbat dinner. $25 per family (2 adults & up to 4 children). Additional adults $10 per person. RSVP by Apr. 3 for dinner only to Kim.

Saturday, April 8 Shabbat Hagadol

  • K’Ton Time, 10:30-11:00am
    This fun & lively service led by Gabby Erbst includes songs, prayers, stories & games; playground time for kids & schmoozing time for parents; kid-friendly kiddush. Geared to families with kids ages 1 to 6, but every family is welcome!

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 4:45pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend. Torah portion: Tzav

Sunday, April 9

  • Religious School Passover Family Workshop, 9:00am-12:00pm
    All youth and their families are invited to join us for “All Four Children: Everyone Has a Place at the Table.” We’ll begin with Minyan at 9:00am. While students are learning the songs of the Seder, parents may join Rabbi Eisen 9:30-10:30am for “Building a Seder” (see below). At 10:30am, parents will join their children by grade level to explore the deeper meaning of the prayers of the seder, followed by comedian Pam Schuller, who will talk about her experience of inclusion in the Jewish community. There is no charge to attend, but please RSVP by April 5 to Kim.
     
  • Adult Education Kollel: Passover, 9:30-10:30am
    As part of our Passover Family Workshop, while students are learning the songs of the Seder, parents may join Rabbi Robert Eisen for “Building a Seder.” What are the basic building blocks which go into a Seder? What are some of the things we can do to enhance our experience? How can we have a meaningful and FUN time? No charge to attend, but please RSVP by April 5 to Michelle. Following the kollel, parents may rejoin their children for the remainder of the Passover Family Workshop (see above).
     
  • Kadima,12:00pm. For Jewish children grades 4 – 6

  • Sweet Tomatoes "FUN-raiser," 5:00 – 8:00 pm
