    Rabbi Robert Eisen leads these monthly group sessions using The Five Books of Miriam: A Woman’s Commentary on the Torah as the core for discussion. Topics can be interesting, insightful & inspiring. No charge to attend. Bring your own dairy lunch; beverages & dessert provided. 

  • B'nai Mitzvah Class, 4:00pm

  • B'nai Mitzvah Class Havurah (Fellowship) Dinner, 5:30pm

  • Adult Choir Rehearsal, 6:00pm

Tuesday, May 3

  • Parent-Tot Class, 9:00 – 11:00am (last day May 17; resumes Aug. 16)
    Open to the public, this FREE weekly class for children 9- to 24-months in age and their parent(s) is fun and educational. Facilitated by Stacey Singer, participants sing songs, make art projects, read stories, have a snack, and share parenting advice with each other. PLEASE NOTE: We have a mandatory vaccination policy.   • Talmud on Tuesday, 6:00pm
    The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. Today, we begin our study of Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. 

Wednesday, May 4

  • "Gentle Chair Yoga" – Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30am
    Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.     Informal and lively study discussion led by Rabbi Robert Eisen. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Friday, May 6

  • Tot Shabbat, service 5:45pm; dinner 6:15pm
    Special Kabbalat Shabbat Service for young families to welcome the Sabbath with stories and songs, followed by kid-friendly Shabbat dinner. $25 per family (2 adults & up to 4 children). Additional adults $10 per person. RSVP by May 2 to Kim at 745-5550, ext. 224 or edasst@caiaz.org

Saturday, May 7

  • Shabbat Afternoon Torah Study, 5:15pm
    Open to all, this is an opportunity to become more involved in “living Judaism.” Lay-led. No charge to attend.

    Students who satisfactorily complete two years of post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah study or who are in the 10th Grade participate.
